Ada is a village located in Hardin County, Ohio, and according to the 2010 census the population was 5,952. The village was founded in 1853, and the area surrounding the village consists mostly of forest plots and farmland. The major waterway is Hog Creek, which lays to the north and east of the village. Ohio Northern University is located in Ada, and this is a private university with five colleges. The climate in Ada can be described as humid continental, and while winters are usually cool or cold, summers are commonly hot and humid.
Ada is home to several attractions that may be of interest to residents or visitors. The Dial-Roberson All-Events Stadium is located in this community, and gun enthusiasts may enjoy a trip to the Northwest Ohio CCW. Other options include Ada Park, Ada Theatre, and the Restore Community Theater. Neighboring Lima is also home to the Allen County Museum and the Allen County Fair.
